Venture Snowboards. Venture Snowboards is a small independent snowboard manufacturer based in Colorado's San Juan Mountains. We produce superior performance snowboards in the U.S.A. Our goal is twofold: to create the ultimate ride while minimizing environmental impact. We offer three different board models for all styles of snowboarding and all types of mountain terrain. The Zephyr is an all-mountain freeride board engineered to perform in a range of conditions from hardpack to corduroy to fluff. The Helix is a true twin dialed for freestyle riding but also capable in big mountain conditions. The Storm, developed in conjunction with Silverton Mountain, is a big mountain freeride board, perfect for riding in deep snow or variable big mountain terrain and the backcountry. All of these models are available as solid boards and splitboards for backcountry riding. A backcountry splitboard is designed to operate in both ski and snowboard mode and is ideal for backcountry touring (a splitboard is also known as a split board, split snowboard, splitboard snowboard, splitty or split). We make all of our boards as splitboards because we believe that splitboarding is the answer. We offer each model in four widths, for optimal performance whatever your footprint. Our wide snowboards are ideal for people with big feet. We don't make so-called women's snowboards, because there is no such thing. Our narrow boards are ideal for women or riders with small feet. New this season we are offering all our boards with rocker technology (also known as rockered boards, reverse camber, and zero camber). We handcraft our boards from scratch in America with only the finest materials including sustainably harvested wood, sintered base material, triaxial fiberglass, stainless steel inserts, full wrap steel edges, and P-tex sidewalls. We build our wood cores from scratch using poplar and ash. All Venture decks are built with sidewall construction. We take the environment into account in our every action. Our focus on conservation is demonstrated by our use of environmentally friendly or green materials and production techniques such as sustainably harvested wood (Forest Stewardship Council certified poplar and ash) , a comprehensive recycling program, and the use of wind power, a renewable energy source. We strive to be ecological and environmentally conscious in all our actions. In addition to snowboards, we offer a full line of softgoods including men's and women's organic apparel and sweatshop-free clothing including t-shirts, sweatshirts, fleece beanie hats, and ball caps.
